Product Manager

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead a small, self-contained innovation group focused on building the product experiences that will pull us ahead of competitors. Working alongside a web-focused developer and a mobile-focused developer, you will shape a unified experience for drivers and administrators and lead the path from an ambiguous opportunity to a validated proof of concept. This is not a traditional roadmap or backlog-management role. You will operate like an entrepreneurial product leader inside a larger organization: identifying valuable problems, forming clear hypotheses, defining the smallest experience needed to test them, and getting working prototypes in front of customers quickly. You will turn feedback into rapid V2, V3, and V4 iterations until the group has enough evidence to stop, change direction, or invest further. The operating principle is simple: build to learn first, then build to scale. You will keep the group focused on the most important unanswered question rather than prematurely expanding scope or designing the final product. Once a concept is validated, you will lead the assessment of what is required to harden and scale it, build the case for further investment, and prepare it for handoff to the core product and engineering team. This is a fit for someone with strong customer instincts, commercial judgment, technical fluency, and a bias toward action. You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, changing course when the evidence demands it, and doing the hands-on work needed to keep a small team moving. What You'll Do Turn company strategy, market insight, and customer problems into focused product bets with clear hypotheses Define the customer, problem, value proposition, assumptions, and evidence needed to validate each opportunity Work with the two developers to shape the smallest end-to-end driver-and-admin experience that can test the idea, often within one to two weeks Create clear user flows, lightweight requirements, and decision-ready context without slowing the group down with unnecessary process Recruit and engage customers and the market validation group, lead prototype sessions, and separate useful evidence from individual feature requests Translate feedback and observed behaviour into rapid V2, V3, and V4 iterations Make decisive trade-offs across customer value, commercial potential, scope, speed, usability, and technical risk Keep the team aligned on what it is trying to learn, what has changed, and what comes next Define success measures and recommend whether to stop, pivot, continue iterating, or invest further Once a concept is validated, partner with technical leaders to determine what is needed to harden and scale it Build the business and product case for graduation and prepare the strategy, evidence, requirements, and context for a clean handoff to the core product and engineering team What You'll Bring Required Experience 7–9 years of Product Management experience, including meaningful work in B2B SaaS startups or similarly fast-moving environments A track record of turning ambiguous customer or market problems into working prototypes and validated product opportunities Experience leading rapid discovery and iteration cycles directly with customers Experience building multi-persona products with connected workflows Strong product judgment: you can identify the riskiest assumption, reduce scope without losing the learning objective, and recognize when evidence is strong enough to proceed Enough UX fluency to shape coherent workflows and give developers clear direction without depending on a dedicated designer for every iteration Strong commercial instincts and the ability to connect product decisions to differentiation, revenue, retention, cost, or strategic value Strong technical fluency, including APIs, data models, system boundaries, integrations, security, and architectural trade-offs Comfort working day-to-day with developers, making decisions quickly, and adjusting priorities as new evidence emerges Excellent facilitation and communication skills with customers, developers, executives, and cross-functional partners High ownership, low ego, and the discipline to abandon or change an idea when the evidence does not support it Nice to Have Experience operating as an early-stage or founding Product Manager Experience with mobile and web products that work together as one customer journey Experience with B2BB2C product experiences Experience in regulated, compliance-heavy, logistics, mobility, or transportation-related industries Experience taking a validated concept through production hardening, scale, and handoff to a larger product and engineering organization Compensation: In line with Pay Transparency legislation, the expected base compensation for this role is $155,000–$165,000 CAD annually (dependent on experience and competency).
