This is a PRN SNF position* in Reform. *Weekend rate. The Staff Physical Therapist shall be responsible for providing quality physical therapy services and assisting in departmental operation. Performance requirements include organizing and rendering physical therapy services. Physical demands involve lifting and carrying equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 pounds without help, over 50 pounds with help, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. Special demands include knowledge and skills for patient care, communication, management, problem solving, supervision, self-evaluation, and dedication.

Qualifications: Education: A minimum level of B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Experience: One year experience preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to reach out for more info. COVID vaccination is preferred. Registered: Must be licensed by the Alabama State of Physical Therapy.

Work Performed: Authority: Has the authority to perform physical therapy procedures as prescribed by a medical doctor or dentist. Primary duties include evaluating patients, planning and conducting therapy programs, applying diagnostic tests, directing patients in exercises, using therapeutic equipment, giving whirlpool and contrast baths, directing patients in the care and use of assistive devices, giving instruction in posture control and therapeutic procedures, adapting techniques for patients, observing and reporting patient conditions, directing and supervising supportive personnel, and providing a safe, clean Physical Therapy Department.
