Participant Advocate
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Participant Advocate to support individuals experiencing homelessness in a shelter environment. This role works in a housing-focused, trauma-informed setting and is ideal for someone comfortable supporting individuals facing substance use, behavioral health needs, and trauma while connecting them to community resources.
Schedule:
• Fri–Sat: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Sun–Tues: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide trauma-informed support and advocacy
• Assist with intake, documentation, and data entry using Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
• Support participant engagement and conflict resolution
• Connect participants with housing resources
• Perform light administrative duties and collaborate with team members

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–2 years of caregiving or social services experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft 365; HMIS a plus
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
• Must pass DOJ background check
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
