Role Description: 

This role leads the preschool creative team for KidSpring by shepherding team members, leading them through the series creative process, managing the team’s tasks and deadlines, and giving approval to final products. This role also creates all preschool small group content, write all preschool video scripts, and produce and direct preschool video shoots.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Attend bi-weekly and team meetings with Creative Director
• Lead and shepherd the Preschool Team (Illustrator, Animator-Illustrator, Filmmaker)
• Lead weekly team meetings and bi-weekly meetings with the Preschool Team
• Lead Preschool Team through the creative process
• Manage Wrike for Preschool Team, including setting and monitoring deadlines and facilitating feedback
• Write Preschool Large Group scripts (1 script per week of a series) and seek feedback from team
• Lead Preschool Large Group read-thrus
• Produce and direct preschool video shoots (casting, scheduling, costuming, set design, follow up, etc.)
• Maintain shoot budgets and allocate necessary expenses
• Manage voiceovers for Preschool videos
• Coordinate animation needs with Elementary Creative Director
• Coordinate on Small Group and Spring Zone planning with Elementary Creative Director, and Elementary Writer
• Write Preschool and Spring Zone small group lessons and all handouts including activity and coloring sheets
• Create Preschool and Spring Zone Prep List and Shopping List while maintaining budget
• Contribute Preschool information to Series Notes document
• Ensure proper formatting for all Preschool and Spring Zone documents and PDF for distribution
• Facilitate final approvals from Creative Director and ensure that all final videos and documents are in the correct folders by deadlines
• Create a playlist of series-specific environmental music for our preschool and nursery environments and contribute to the hallway playlist.
  
• Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.

Additional Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Cast vision for and lead the team in executing assigned projects (non-series resources, podcast, curriculum updates, etc.)
• Pursue mastery by studying kids programming and growing in writing knowledge and skills
• Volunteer in KidSpring on Sundays to gather feedback and occasionally travel to other campuses for a broader view of curriculum implementation
• Uphold the KidSpring Missions, Pillars and Standards (MPS) and Culture Values

Role Requirements:

• This role is full time 40 hours per week.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• This role adheres to a standard schedule, knowing it may fluctuate at times & based on certain needs. Standard schedule is:
  • Sunday: 8:15am - 1pm + 2 hours remote
  • Monday: 9am - 5pm
  • Tuesday: 9am - 5pm
  • Wednesday: 9am - 5pm
  • Thursday: 9am - 5pm
