Software Test Engineer - F35 Level 2
Lockheed Martin Corporation
The F-35 Core Processing Software (CPSW) Development Team is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support production test activities. The role involves analyzing requirements to create safety-critical test cases, executing software quality tests, producing documentation, and performing root-cause analysis. Responsibilities Analyze requirements and design safety-critical test cases to validate air-vehicle behavior. Execute software quality tests and produce Software Quality Test Report Summaries and Software Problem Anomaly Reports for stakeholders. Perform root-cause analysis on failing test cases and communicate findings to the CPSW development team. Develop automation utilities to improve test quality and efficiency, including C++ software, SWAT scripts, and unit tests. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM discipline. Experience with C++, Python, and GitLab. Strong knowledge of software testing methods and documentation practices. Ability to design test cases for safety-critical systems. Process-oriented mindset with great attention to detail. Experience with automated testing, Test-Driven Development, CI/CD pipelines, and object-oriented design patterns is preferred. Security Clearance Must be a U.S. citizen. Subject to government security investigation and eligibility to access classified information. Clearance level: Secret.
