Sr. Full-Stack Developer

Job Title Sr. Full Stack Developer Job Summary Heitmeyer Consulting is currently seeking a Sr. Full-Stack Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our financial services clients in Columbus, OH. This role is a senior technical contributor responsible for the analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and support of cloud native payment applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role focuses on implementing cloud-native solutions across a Java backend (including REST API development) and a React front end, supporting event-driven payment processing, and ensuring application stability in production environments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on development skills, experience working in agile teams, and the ability to independently deliver features while escalating design decisions and complex issues to senior technical leaders as appropriate. Key Responsibilities Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud?native applications on GCP Implement serverless and container?based solutions using Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and/or GKE Develop asynchronous, event?driven integrations using Pub/Sub Build and maintain APIs using Apigee or GCP API Gateway Design and manage data solutions using Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Firestore Write clean, maintainable, and well?documented code following enterprise standards Support application configuration, deployment, and automation using Cloud Build and Terraform Monitor application health and troubleshoot issues using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Error Reporting Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes Provide production support, including scheduled on?call rotation Collaborate with cross?functional teams to ensure timely delivery of features and fixes Support testing activities including unit, integration, and regression testing Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, performance, and security Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in application development or systems analysis roles Experience developing solutions in the cloud Preference to have GCP experience Strong proficiency in Java Development Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs (including authentication/authorization, versioning, and documentation) Experience building user interfaces using React (and modern front-end practices such as component-based design and state management) Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL data stores Hands?on experience with: Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, or GKE Pub/Sub messaging Cloud SQL and/or BigQuery GCP IAM fundamentals Experience using CI/CD pipelines and Git?based repositories Heitmeyer Consulting is an equal opportunity employer and we encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
