Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students this summer by supporting learners at the secondary level as a dedicated paraprofessional. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a collaborative school environment just outside Cottage Grove, MN. The position follows a Monday through Thursday schedule, with work hours from 7:30am to 1:00pm and a 30-minute lunch break, totaling 20 hours per week from July 6th to July 23rd.

In this role, you’ll provide vital 1:1 assistance or classroom support to students, including tasks that may involve toileting, lifting, or feeding. It’s perfect for compassionate professionals who value adaptability and hands-on involvement in student growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completion of the Para Test Certification
• Proof of two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution, OR possession of a college degree
• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or in special education support preferred
• Ability and willingness to assist with personal care tasks as needed
• Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct 1:1 support or classroom assistance to secondary students
• Help create an inclusive, supportive learning environment
• Assist students with academic and personal care needs, including toileting, lifting, or feeding
• Collaborate closely with educators to meet students’ individualized education goals
