The role involves performing a variety of warehouse duties, including unloading trucks, staging materials for shipments, checking shipping orders, sweeping the warehouse floor, and making labels via FedEx/UPS. Attention to detail is crucial, as candidates will engage in computer documentation and handle awkward, hard-to-manage hoses. The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally and 150 pounds in a group lift. Initially, candidates will start by picking orders in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Unloading trucks and staging materials for shipments.

• Checking shipping orders and ensuring accuracy.

• Sweeping the warehouse floor and maintaining cleanliness.

• Creating labels using FedEx/UPS systems.

• Performing computer documentation tasks.

• Handling awkward and heavy hoses.

• Picking orders and managing inventory.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 60 pounds.

• Minimum of 6 months warehouse experience.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Forklift experience, including sit down, stand up, and reach.

• Comfortable working with computers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with UPS/FedEx shipping systems.

• Inventory control skills.

Work Environment

The warehouse employs 75 people across both shifts, operating in a brand-new, well-lit, clean facility. Product handling may involve dusty or dirty items, requiring comfort with such conditions. Safety equipment like gloves and braces is provided for heavy lifting. Steel toe shoes and pants are mandatory attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntley, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
