Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Tax Coordinator to manage and oversee all payroll tax registrations, reconciliations, and filings. This role is critical in ensuring compliance and accuracy in payroll tax processing across multiple locations and jurisdictions. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in payroll tax operations, with preferred knowledge of ADP SmartCompliance and Workday tax processes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Tax Registrations & Compliance:
  • Research, set up, and maintain all applicable tax registrations for various jurisdictions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within payroll systems.
• Tax Review & Reconciliation:
  • Review routine tax files and remittances alongside payroll transmissions.
  • Reconcile all applicable taxes and adjustments regularly.
• Issue Resolution:
  • Track and resolve tax notices, discrepancies, and errors in collaboration with vendors.
  • Provide research and solutions for diverse payroll tax issues.
• Audit & Reporting:
  • Assist in the review and audit of tax records to ensure accuracy.
  • Contribute to the annual Form W-2 and W-2C processes.
• Projects & Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support high-level projects as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as needed to maintain payroll tax compliance.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • 3+ years of experience in full payroll tax operations.
  • Expertise in payroll tax filings, registrations, amendments, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in handling W-2s and W-2Cs.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with ADP SmartCompliance.
  • Familiarity with Workday tax processes.
