What You'll Do
- Evaluate patients with cognitive or ADL physical functioning disorders, developing tailored care plans.
- Conduct standardized assessments and employ evidence-based interventions.
- Administer treatments including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive devices.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed, and document outcomes effectively.
- Provide counseling and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient rehabilitation.
- Support and supervise occupational therapist assistants, aides, or students when needed.
What You Need
Required:
- Valid license/certification per state and NBCOT standards
- Relevant experience in occupational therapy, ideally with long-term care patients
Preferred:
- Experience with cognitive and ADL therapies
