Evaluating mortgage loan applications outside traditional Qualified Mortgage (QM) guidelines, the full-time Remote Non-QM Underwriter will manually underwrite transactions, perform quality control audits, and collaborate with internal staff and clients to ensure compliance and assess borrower risk. Key responsibilities Manually underwrite mortgage loan transactions to meet company and investor credit guidelines Perform quality control audits of third-party vendors to ensure compliance with credit requirements Analyze loan applications and conduct financial due diligence to assess borrower creditworthiness and loan risk Required qualifications Recent hands-on non-QM underwriting experience, including DSCR and Bank Statement qualifications 5+ years of experience as an underwriter with a high-volume background Proficiency in Encompass and ability to navigate workflows and manage conditions efficiently Strong understanding of non-QM guidelines, investor overlays, and risk layering Ability to manually calculate income for complex self-employed borrowers and layered income sources #J-18808-Ljbffr Deephaven Mortgage LLC
