Hardware Systems Lead- ENDO

Medtronic seeks a Hardware Systems Lead to provide technical leadership for medical device system development spanning electronics, firmware, mechanical design, and software integration. The role involves architecture definition, cross-functional coordination, and system-level verification throughout the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain product system architecture across electronics, firmware, mechanical subsystems, RF communications, and software interfaces
• Translate user, product, and business requirements into system specifications while balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Lead technical tradeoff analyses involving power consumption, RF performance, component selection, manufacturability, and cost
• Drive system integration activities and resolve cross-functional technical issues throughout product development
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to support design for manufacturability and medical device compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years engineering experience, or advanced degree and 8+ years
• Experience defining system architectures for complex electromechanical and embedded hardware products
• Experience leading cross-functional technical integration across hardware, firmware, mechanical, and software teams
• Experience performing system-level verification, validation, and technical risk management
• Ability to translate product requirements into subsystem specifications and design decisions
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred
• Experience with embedded electronics design and RF communications in regulated industry
