Pay range: $15.50 - $19.50 / hour

Shifts: full-time AM

Job Highlights

The Mother-Baby Unit is a 41-bed and 52-crib adult and neonatal acute care unit that includes the newborn nursery and the delivery care team. This unit provides compassionate postpartum and newborn care while nurturing the entire family relationship through advanced nursing care tailored to the needs of mothers and babies, from routine postnatal care to complex clinical interventions. Nurses on this unit are empowered to practice at the top of their scope in a collaborative, family-centered environment with a primary focus to promote excellent outcomes for our patients through hands-on teaching and education. UAB Women & Infants Services provides compassionate, comprehensive care for mothers and babies in our state-of-the-art Women & Infants Center . In addition to being a Women’s Choice Award Best Hospital, UAB is consistently ranked among the nation’s best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report , which recognized our obstetrics and gynecology program as the No. 18 best of its kind in the country in 2024.

Job Description

To assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN for the hospital. To obtain and record vitals, weight, inputs and outputs. To successfully complete an in-house PCT training program. To demonstrate an awareness of patient and personal safety.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required. Certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within thirty (30) days of date of employment required.
