Security Officer - Overnight Corporate Flex

Overview Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer. The Security Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients across industries such as healthcare, education, finance, and more. You will use our shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability, providing flexibility to build a schedule while gaining site experience across various industries. The position may require irregular shifts with little to no advance notice. Position Now Hiring: Security Officer - Overnight Corporate Flex Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. Position Type: Flex — Ability to pick up additional shifts The Ideal Candidate Would Have Valid Arizona Driver's License Active Arizona guard card Walk/Stand for long periods of time Work outside in the elements Responsibilities Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards Sound alarms or summon police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within client requirements Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders Qualifications (Must Have) High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law No prior experience required Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed, as required by state) Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to write informatively, clearly, and accurately Active listening and problem-solving skills Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly and identify critical issues Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy Teamwork and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic) Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience Benefits Health insurance and eligibility for the company retirement plans Schedules that fit with personal life goals Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities Employee discounts through our perks program for restaurants, entertainment venues, and more Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
