Maintenance Technician I

NVR’s Manufacturing Plant in Thurmont,MD is looking to add a team member to our maintenance team. While you will be the “go to” person for installing/fixing electrical issues you will also be expected to perform non-electrical maintenance work. A person with the right knowledge as well as the right attitude is of utmost importance. Day shift hours are 5:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) Pay rate starts at $26.75 per hour. Individual pay is determined by factors including the candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and location. Primary Responsibilities Perform basic troubleshooting and safety repairs, as directed. Work independently, and as part of a team, to contribute to the maintenance department & facility in general, and perform other miscellaneous duties as instructed. Utilize generated maintenance schedules to perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment. Perform welding, grinding, fabrication, and flame cutting, as required, to implement general facility repairs. Conduct housekeeping tasks and operate equipment, as needed, to maintain a clean facility. Remove snow and ice, when weather conditions warrant. Operate in accordance with Lockout/Tagout procedures. May assist other Maintenance Technicians in their day-to-day operations and assignments, in preparation to assume more responsibilities and further develop technical skillsets.
