Job Title: Leasing Specialist IJob Type: Full TimeReports To: Property ManagerLocation: Seasons of Layton and The Clara by SeasonsJob Summary:The Leasing Agent position at Mountain States Property Management works with potential renters to view and contract our various properties. This position requires an elevated level of communication and interaction with future and current residents of our properties. The Leasing Agent greatly impacts the success of our business and is vital to our team. We are a locally owned property management company overseeing multifamily communities across the region. Our on-site teams are supported by a central office and leadership group that value clear expectations, teamwork, and accountability. We believe strong communities start with supported employees and take pride in creating stable, well-maintained places for residents. We look for team members who take ownership of their work, support their coworkers, and contribute to a positive community for both residents and staff.Duties & Responsibilities:Duties & Responsibilities:Excellent communication and customer service skillsStrong computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systemsProvide complete property tours to prospective tenantsKnowledgeable in move-in and move-out proceduresEffectively schedule and manage tours, move-ins, and move-outsDemonstrate phone etiquette and professional call handlingNavigate property management software, including EntrataComplete and process lease applicationsGenerate, send, and track lease documents for approved applicantsCreate clear, professional, and complete work ordersConduct background checks for applicantsUnderstand and follow proper legal procedures, including serving notices (e.g., 3-day pay or vacate)Conduct market surveys and shop comparable propertiesResolve resident complaints independently, without escalationKnowledge and understanding of Fair Housing laws and compliance standardsSkills:Excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenUnderstanding in MS word and excel with the ability to pick up new systems quicklyHighly organized and detail orientedAbility to manage time effectively and efficientlyBe able to adapt to new situations and be an active problem solver.Experience and Education:High School Diploma or equivalent0-1 years related experience, preferably in leasing or sales strongly preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods of timeEnsure good physical hygiene with a clean and professional imageThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-encompassing and may be subject to change to meet the evolving needs of the organization.If this excites you, and you are committed to upholding our core values, we’d love to hear from you!
