Job Description
Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients, utilizing advanced principles and practices in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish patient ventilator settings using metric measurements and advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, focusing on acid/base and electrolyte relationships, and recognize life-threatening situations.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the EMR system, specifically Meditech.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA accredited school for Respiratory Care.
• Active NY State license for Respiratory Therapy.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.

Work Schedule:

This position will involve day shifts, specifically from 7 AM to 7 PM, on a schedule of 8 weeks.
