Join our team as a Line Locator and become a key player in protecting underground infrastructure while supporting ongoing energy operations across Wyoming’s Casper, Douglass, and Gillette areas. This long-term, contract-to-hire opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of $35-$40, along with the chance to develop your skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

In this critical role, you will respond to utility locate requests, interpret maps and drawings, and accurately mark underground facilities to prevent costly damages and ensure safety protocols are met. Your attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and safety-conscious mindset will be essential to thriving in this outdoor position, often working in extreme temperatures.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in oil and gas production facilities preferred
• Basic understanding of oil and gas operations and natural gas process equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn on the job
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with utility mapping, as-builts, and alignment sheets
• Previous experience using locating equipment
• Additional safety certifications or environmental training

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of relevant oil and gas industry experience

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions for driving company vehicles
• Ability to work a full-time schedule (either 5/2 M-F or 4/10 M-Thurs)
