Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with at least 2 years of L&D experience and EPIC EMR proficiency for a night shift assignment.Details\n \n 18-bed Labor and Delivery unit\n Cares for laboring patients with high acuity needs\n Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM\n Every other weekend required\n Holidays scheduled as needed\n Float required to MAU, MBU, and OBSC, and potentially any Cone Health campus\n Uses EPIC EMR\n Utilizes Triton and SurgiCount systems\n Requirements\n \n Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration\n Minimum 2 years of RN experience required\n BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required\n AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred\n EPIC EMR experience required\n Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed)\n Skilled in labor and delivery management including vaginal and C-section delivery support, high-risk delivery assistance, and hemorrhage/shock response\n Experience with fetal monitoring including EFM, IUPC placement/calibration, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns\n Experience administering medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives\n Experience with antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal care procedures\n Experience managing high-risk conditions such as HELLP syndrome, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, and placenta previa/abruptio\n Current driver's license required to verify address\n No open background check cases permitted\n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care to high-acuity laboring patients\n Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation and recovery, and neonatal resuscitation\n Manage pain relief interventions including epidural anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration\n Support antepartum and postpartum patients through assessments and procedures\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates within that radius are not accepted\n RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted\n Third-party education verification required, with degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list not accepted\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-755466.
