Details Operating Room unit performing solely Abdominal Transplants including Kidney, Pancreas, Liver, and Intestinal/Multi-visceral procedures Pediatric transplants are performed at an affiliated children's hospital and are not part of this assignment Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Weekend shifts preferred Call requirement of 40-60 hours per 6-week period 100% floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals, covering multi-specialty and all surgery types Uses Cerner charting system Requirements Active IN or Compact RN license required, must be in hand prior to start date BLS certification required AHA and RQI certifications accepted and must be current at time of submission 2 years of strong Transplant experience required, including kidney and liver experience Cerner charting experience preferred Regulatory Charting for Transplants certification required Nursing degree must be from a college or university accredited by ACEN or CCNE 2 supervisor references required SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Perform circulating and/or scrub duties for complex abdominal transplant surgeries including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral cases Utilizes advanced equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, cell saver, and robotic surgery platforms for colorectal, gastrointestinal, and transplant procedures Adheres to Universal Protocol, specimen handling/labeling, laser safety, and radiation safety standards First-time travelers are welcome to apply if they possess strong transplant experience Indiana residents are not accepted as local or traveler candidates for this position Candidates must work 2 of 3 major holidays Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval Any current or former IU Health PRN/permanent employee must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler Current or past IU Health travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment must take a designated break to reset eligibility before starting a new assignment American Traveler Job ID P-743795.
