Job Summary
A well-established industrial fastener and hardware supplier is seeking a full-time Parts Counter to support a busy sales counter and warehouse operation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys helping customers, working with industrial products, and balancing counter sales with accurate order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist walk-in and phone customers with industrial fasteners, hardware, and related product needs
- Pull customer orders on demand while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Learn product categories, inventory locations, and the company’s internal part-number system
- Use basic math, measurements, fractions, and product quantities
- Switch between counter service, order pulling, inventory support, and general warehouse responsibilities as business needs change
- Follow established procedures for picking, verifying, and staging customer orders
- Operate a stand-up forklift safely as needed
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, warehouse personnel, and management
Qualifications
- Previous face-to-face customer service, counter sales, retail sales, industrial supply, or parts sales experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with numbers, fractions, quantities, and basic arithmetic
- Basic computer, keyboard, and order-entry skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a warehouse environment throughout the shift
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus, but not required
- Previous stand-up forklift experience is preferred; training may be available
