About the Position

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year required. First-timers accepted. License: Required in hand prior to start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted. Certifications: Required BLS, CNMT or NMTCB in hand. Must-Have: - Must work two out of three major holidays. - Weekend requirement: Yes, on-call required. - Candidate must be able and willing to multitask and work as a team player. - Adult and Nuclear Cardiology experience required. Description: This position requires a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with experience in various procedures, including gastric emptying, HIDA scan, MUGA scan, three-phase bone scans, liver imaging, and perfusion studies. The role involves performing exercise/rest multiple tests and pharmacological stress tests. The candidate must be knowledgeable in isolation precautions and be skilled in starting and maintaining peripheral IVs. Experience with storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials is also necessary. This is a short-term acute care facility that uses Cerner for charting. The department seeks a team player who can multitask effectively. Candidates must have a commitment to patient care and safety. Travelers must be open to floating within the hospital or to nearby facilities. Two supervisor references are required prior to contract assignment. Local residents are accepted for this position. Candidates must adhere to all policies regarding breaks between contracts as specified.
