Job role : Fractional Technology Production Manager (Robotics/Automation)

Duration : 4 months, with potential extension

Location : Remote

Hours : Will start at 10 hours per week for the first month, and ramp up to 20 hours per week as initiatives expand

Business Driver : Client is partnering with an AI/Robotics company to test whether robots can help perform everyday tasks across the casino and hotel, such as delivering food, beverages, supplies, or linens. The goal is to determine which robotic solutions provide real business value and should be expanded across the organization. Need TPM to take the helm and lead this initiative.

Sample Business Use Cases:

• Move table game setups from storage to the casino floor.
• Deliver food from kitchens to service stations or to guest at table games.
• Transport beverage inventory(cases of beer) during high-volume events such as boxing matches, MMA or concerts.
• Support hotel operations such as in-room dining, linen delivery, and bell/luggage services.

Must-Have:

• Experience leading robotics automation, digital transformation, or operational improvement initiatives
• Strong executive presence (boardroom gravitas, product storytelling and presentation abilities with operational teams.
• Must understand factory floor operations and workflow optimization, experience with time-and-motion studies.

• Hotel/Casino operational workflows: housekeeping, food service, guest services, inventory management, and facilities operations.

• Ability to quantify labor cost savings, workforce augmentation opportunities, and measure productivity improvements.

Scope:

• Serve as the primary liaison between Client, internal stakeholders, and the AI/Robotics vendor.
• Meet with stakeholders 1-2 times per week to gather requirements, facilitate discussions, and drive initiatives forward.

• Most project management, documentation, coordination, and stakeholder communication activities can be done remote.
• May need to conduct periodic onsite visits with operational leaders and frontline staff to understand workflows, perform process assessments, and identify automation opportunities across casino and hotel operations.

• Build and manage a portfolio of robotics and automation initiatives, including the evaluation and prioritization of approximately 15 use cases.
• Collaborate with robotics vendors to evaluate capabilities, align solutions with business needs, and assess operational feasibility and scalability.
• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) efforts from ideation through pilot execution, establishing success criteria, business outcomes, ROI metrics, and adoption measures.

• Develop business cases, ROI analyses, and executive-level recommendations to determine whether proposed robotics solutions are practical, scalable, aligned with California gaming business objectives, and worthy of investment

• By Q1 2027, develop a shortlist of viable business cases, consensus w/stakeholders and recommend which initiatives should move forward.
