The main purpose and function of the Heavy Equipment Operator is to operate heavy equipment including scrapers, dozers, excavators, loaders, farm tractors, rock trucks, motor graders, etc.

What You'll Do

• Operate heavy equipment, loaders, feed hoppers, and other mining equipment safely and efficiently.

• Move, blend, stockpile, and recover ore and product materials.

• Load trucks and maintain stockpile, drainage, and work areas.

• Complete equipment inspections, fueling, load logs, and basic maintenance tasks.

• Communicate operational updates, hazards, and production changes during shift handoffs.

• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• Report equipment, safety, and quality concerns to supervisors.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• 6 months to 1 year of plant, mining, construction, or heavy equipment experience preferred.

• Experience operating heavy equipment and loaders.

• Basic mechanical aptitude, recordkeeping, and math skills.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Regular exposure to dust, noise, machinery, and mobile equipment.

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, and work 8-10 hour shifts.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

• Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements.
