Most importantly, you're looking for a place where you can grow your career for years to come while being part of a team that genuinely supports each other.What You'll DoAs our Core Automation Specialist, you'll serve as one of the technical experts responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and automating the systems that keep OURCU running efficiently. You'll partner with departments throughout the organization to understand business needs, identify opportunities for automation, and implement solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and the overall member experience.In this role, you'll:Design, build, maintain, and support automations that improve business processes across the credit union.Develop scripts and integrations using APIs and modern scripting languages to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.Administer and support our financial core system and related applications, ensuring reliable day-to-day operation.Serve as a technical consultant for departments looking to improve workflows through automation and system enhancements.Collaborate with business units, vendors, and third-party partners to implement new functionality and maintain existing integrations.Perform system upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance while ensuring system security and stability.Document new processes, automation solutions, and technical procedures so they can be easily understood and maintained.Manage multiple projects and priorities while responding to operational support requests and changing business needs.Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance windows and provide on-call support for critical issues when necessary.Continuously look for opportunities to improve systems, eliminate inefficiencies, and deliver better experiences for both employees and members.You'll Be Most Successful If YouLove solving difficult technical problems and finding creative, practical solutions.Enjoy automating repetitive work and improving inefficient processes.Think like both a developer and a systems administrator, understanding how software and infrastructure work together.Can easily shift between multiple projects without losing focus or attention to detail.Take ownership of your work and naturally look for ways to improve the systems you're responsible for.Communicate technical concepts clearly with both technical and non-technical teammates.Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders throughout an organization.Thrive working independently while also enjoying collaboration and knowledge sharing.Are highly organized and able to prioritize competing requests effectively.Care about the people behind the technology and understand that every improvement ultimately benefits our members.Are looking for a long-term career where you can continue growing, learning, and making an impact.Key QualificationsBachelor 's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Professional experience in software development, systems administration, automation engineering, or a similar technical role.Experience developing with REST and/or SOAP APIs.Strong experience with JavaScript, Python, or similar scripting languages.Experience working with SQL, relational databases, and database design concepts.Experience working with JSON and XML.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written documentation and communication skills.Ability to independently manage projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsFinancial institution or credit union technology experience.Experience with Keystone core systems or similar financial core platforms.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.Experience working with Docker, containers, orchestration tools, or workflow automation platforms (DAGs).Familiarity with Linux administration.Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.Experience managing vendors and third-party software integrations.Why Join OURCU?At OURCU, people come first. The initial onsite period is designed to support hands-on learning, collaboration, and relationship building. After successful onboarding, employees may transition to a hybrid schedule based on business needs and individual performance.Standard working hours are Monday through Friday. Because this position supports critical business systems, occasional evening or after-hours work may be required for scheduled maintenance, which is planned well in advance whenever possible.
