About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry and cardiac care - Ability to manage up to 6 patients at a time - Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and cardiac drips Description: This position requires working in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing care to cardiac and stroke patients. You will manage stable pre/post care for various cardiac procedures. This includes patients undergoing pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterization. You will also care for patients post-interventional vascular procedures. The target patient ratio is 1:5-6, which may fluctuate based on patient needs. You must be comfortable taking on additional patients as needed. Role includes the administration of multiple cardiac medications and drips. You will be part of a team that typically handles a high volume of patient turnover. The unit currently cares for patients requiring specialized equipment for respiratory support. You must be able to work weekends, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet unit demands. You will collaborate with various interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. Your expertise in cardiac telemetry will be essential for patient management. Preparedness for call requirements is necessary, depending on patient census. Floating within departments may be necessary. You will adhere to safety protocols while providing care to patients.
