Project Manager – Traffic & Transportation Civil EngineeringFisher Associates is seeking an experienced Traffic Project Manager (Civil Engineer) to lead the delivery of roadway and traffic infrastructure projects across New York State. Our services span civil/site engineering, transportation engineering, electrical engineering, landscape architecture, architecture, planning, environmental services, land surveying, GIS, construction inspection, precast and construction engineering, each offering opportunities to shape communities and improve lives.What You'll Do as a Traffic Project ManagerLead multidisciplinary teams in the planning, design, and delivery of traffic and transportation projects from scoping through construction support.Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality to ensure strong technical and financial performance.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, NYSDOT, and other regulatory agencies.Oversee QA/QC, risk management, billing, reporting, and project closeout.Guide design strategy and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.Strengthen client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.Support business development efforts, including proposals, scope development, and fee estimates.Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.RequirementsWhat You Bring, Your Expertise as a Traffic Project ManagerB.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Master's preferred7+ years of progressive experience in traffic/transportation design within a consulting environment, preferred.Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain itExperience delivering projects from preliminary design through final design and construction supportDemonstrated experience managing NYSDOT traffic design projects and federally funded transportation programs.Proficiency in MS Office programs and MicroStation (preferred)Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.Dedicated to fostering trusting relationships through collaboration, integrity and respect.Deliver high-quality work using critical thinking, sound judgment, and exceptional organizational skills.Proactively own projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growth environment.Curious and improvement-minded, embracing feedback and continuously seeking better solutions.Salary Range $95,000-$130,000Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
