Postpartum Floor Nurse (RN) in Austin, Texas. This contract position involves working on the postpartum unit, requiring candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day. The role entails providing specialized postpartum care in a busy hospital setting, with a focus on teamwork and patient safety.

Job Details:

• Location: Austin, Texas
• Specialty: Post Partum Floor (L&D PP)
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (American Heart Association), 0 years of experience preferred but not required
• Additional Information: Unit has 24 beds, with a team of 26 staff members including charge nurses, registered nurses, and a clerk during the day. Patient ratios are 3:1 and 4:1, occasionally 2:1 based on acuity. Must have previous labor/delivery (L/D) or antepartum experience, and familiarity with procedures like non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin, magnesium, and heparin drips. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
