ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, we are known for engineering autonomy, precision quality, and a culture of continuous innovation.Position SummaryWe are looking for a technically sharp and hands-on Chemist to join our team in Corona. This role sits at the intersection of formulation chemistry, quality control, and process support. You will work closely with engineering, production, and R&D to ensure our elastomer compounds meet strict performance and quality standards while contributing to ongoing product development and improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesFormulate, mix, and evaluate silicone and EPDM elastomer compounds for production and development purposesConduct lab testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to verify compliance with internal and customer specificationsDevelop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and testing protocolsTroubleshoot formulation and processing issues on the production floor and recommend corrective actionsSupport new product development by conducting literature research, running trials, and documenting resultsCollaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirementsTrack and report test data accurately using lab management or ERP systemsAssist in managing chemical inventory, safety data sheets, and regulatory compliance documentationMaintain a safe, organized laboratory environment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required; Master's degree a plus2+ years of experience in polymer chemistry, elastomer compounding, rubber chemistry, or a related manufacturing environment preferredFamiliarity with silicone or EPDM materials is a strong advantageExperience with analytical instruments such as rheometers, tensile testers, hardness testers, and FTIRSolid understanding of quality control methodologies and documentation practicesStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or LIMS systems is a plusBilingual English/Spanish is a plusCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for advancement within a growing, vertically integrated manufacturing operation #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
