Responsibilities As a Mechanical Engineer I in our Austin office for Summer 2026, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy‑efficient building solutions, save the global environment, and create a better, greener future for all. Initially, you will work with and be mentored by experienced engineers, then help mentor designers. Your initial assignments will include performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, calculating equipment sizes, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and reviewing equipment shop drawings. As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading mechanical project teams, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction‑phase work. Qualifications BSME/BSAE from ABET‑accredited school. Minimum GPA of 2.5. Non‑academic internship. Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred. EIT certification (passed the FE exam) a plus. Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred. Skills Strong spoken and written communication skills. Excellent organization and time management skills. Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes. Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
