We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our team on Mondays & Wednesdays. We are a busy Ambulatory Surgery Center in Sandy Springs, GA. You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.

Responsibilities:

• Work in the following areas in the surgery center: Pre-op, Intra-op and PACU
• Reviews pre-op orders and instructions, explores areas of patient concern, answers question within the nursing scope, and establishes patient rapport
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Maintains patient safety
• Maintains sterile technique
• Starts IV therapy and administers pre-operation medication, if applicable.
• Administer conscious sedation if applicable
• Assist in procedure room during procedures
• Training to include operation on the C-Arm, sterilization of instruments
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Checks blood pressure, pulse, respiration, color and condition of skin every 10 minutes until stable
• Educate patients about procedures and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Checks the availability of supplies and equipment needed for patients assigned (stock medications, CSR supplies)
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Georgia Registered Nurse License
• 2+ years of nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred (will obtain within 6 months of employment)
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Working Hours:

• Monday & Wednesday 7:00am - 4:30pm (hours may vary)
