About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required. License: Compact or state license required at time of submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience with trauma surgical patient populations in a level 1 trauma center or high-volume facility. Preferred experience with wound care, fracture care, post-surgical skills, traction, and patient mobility. Tele experience is preferred. Familiarity with drips such as insulin and heparin. Description: Experience with trauma surgical patient populations is required. Experience in a teaching facility or high-volume facility is preferred. Candidates should have skills in wound care, fracture care, and post-surgical care. Patient mobility and traction experience are essential. Candidates must be familiar with intravenous medication drips such as heparin and insulin. Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications are required. Candidates will be expected to work 3 out of 5 winter holidays. Experience with tracheostomy care is strongly preferred. Candidates will float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Wound vac and solid orthotraumatic experience is necessary. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential. Candidates must complete required compliance exams and assessments prior to starting the role.
