Engineering Technician (RR966)

If you like to build things, you\'ll love working for us. Overview We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Technician to support an engineering services contract in Dahlgren, VA. Candidates who are mission-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced team environment are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Assist the engineers in preparing equipment for off-site test events. Install test equipment during integration test events on board naval vessels. Prepare equipment shipments to and from test events. Complete documentation for shipping and receiving of test equipment before/after test events. Assist in maintaining inventory of the available equipment. Support local transport of equipment (usually within a one-day timeframe with our government vans/trucks). Support engineering teams at test events. Execute tests using test equipment such as Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Function Generators and Power Supplies. Assist with design and documentation in support of test events. Required Experience with electronic test equipment and testing protocols. Ability to handle manual labor (carrying heavy equipment) and tolerate shipboard work environments. Willingness to travel, with some trips up to 2-3 weeks in length. Ability to travel up to 25 - 40%. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance. Experience with shipboard testing is a plus. Knowledge of General Electronic Systems. Logistics Support.
