Material Handling Specialist

Material HandlerThe Material Handler plays a critical role in a repair and test operation by safely and accurately moving, storing, and handling electronic equipment and materials within a clean, climate-controlled facility. This position supports continuous production flow, maintains inventory accuracy, and upholds safety and quality standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is not a pick-and-pack retail warehouse; the role requires careful product handling, strict attention to detail, and consistent adherence to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and quality procedures.ResponsibilitiesReceive, stage, and move inbound and outbound materials throughout the facility in an accurate and timely manner.Accurately pull, deliver, and transfer products to production, test, and repair areas to support continuous operations.Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely, with forklift operation considered a plus.Use scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or internal systems to record and maintain accurate inventory transactions.Package and prepare units for shipment in accordance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.Follow all ESD, safety, and quality procedures at all times to protect electronic equipment and maintain a controlled environment.Perform basic inventory counts and assist with cycle counting activities to support inventory accuracy.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following 5S standards and housekeeping practices.Support production teams by ensuring required materials and components are available when needed.Assist with picking, packing, general labor, warehouse packing, and general production tasks as needed.Use RF scanners for inventory movement, order picking, and tracking of materials.Load and unload materials for shipping and receiving activities in a safe and efficient manner.Perform other duties as assigned based on operational demands and production priorities.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED.Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during the shift.Basic computer or scanner experience, including the use of RF scanners.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and recording transactions.Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production flow.Authorization to work in the United States.Minimum age of 18 years.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role.Experience operating pallet jacks; forklift experience is a plus.Experience working in an electronics, manufacturing, or repair environment.Familiarity with inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS).Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls or quality-controlled environments.Experience with picking, packing, shipping and receiving, and general production activities.Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment with clear performance expectations.Why Work Here?You will work in a new, spacious, climate-controlled facility designed for comfort, safety, and efficiency. The operation is fast-paced and production-driven, with clear performance expectations and strong emphasis on quality and ESD-safe handling of electronic equipment. You will regularly use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and RF scanners, along with inventory and warehouse management systems, to support daily activities. The facility follows 5S principles to maintain an orderly workspace. Work is structured across multiple shifts, including first shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm), second shift (Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm), and a third shift schedule that includes Sunday evenings and overnight hours Monday through Thursday. Dress is typical for a warehouse and production environment, prioritizing safety and practicality while supporting work in a temperature-controlled setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.50/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
