Housekeeping Porter Floor Tech

Location: Highland Springs by Erickson Senior Living We are hiring a Housekeeping Porter (Utility Worker) for our growing community! In this role, you will maintain community cleanliness using specialized equipment, clean building areas, floors, and surfaces, set up rooms for events, handle trash removal, and assist with moving heavy objects—all while enjoying the convenience of staying on campus. Responsibilities Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, buffing and waxing. Maintain carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying and vacuuming. Clean vertical surfaces such as doors, walls or windows. Remove trash including refuse and recycling by following procedures utilizing compactors, trucks and carts. Move and arrange furniture in community common spaces, offices and residential apartments. Deliver residents items to and from storage, vehicles, apartments or other areas. Operate housekeeping equipment and vehicles in a safe manner. Qualifications Current and valid driver’s license. Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment and any other equipment necessary for community cleanliness. Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred. May require a CDL class B with air brake endorsement. Must have a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate. Compensation commensurate with experience, $15.00 – $18.00 per hour.
