Regional Sales Director, Immunology - Central Region

Merck seeks a Regional Sales Director to lead immunology sales operations across the Central United States. This second-line leadership role manages District Managers and field teams, overseeing regional business performance, customer relationships, talent development, and P&L accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, development, and retention of regional sales team to execute customer engagement strategies
- Own customer portfolio and experience, ensuring accurate communications across all team touchpoints
- Build relationships with senior healthcare leaders and thought leaders to support strategic engagement
- Deliver regional business results and meet P&L targets for assigned customer base
- Drive compliance with company policies, business practices, and regulatory requirements across the region
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or managed care experience
- Minimum 3 years managing direct reports and building customer relationships
- Regional residency with ability to travel up to 50% within assigned territory
- Demonstrated expertise in regional healthcare dynamics and omnichannel strategy implementation
- Strong track record developing high-performing teams with strategic agility and business acumen
- Valid driver's license
- Advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred; immunology/IBD gastroenterology experience preferred
