About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Current RN License required Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate NIHSS Must-Have: High-risk obstetric (level 3) experience Heparin drip experience Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will be responsible for managing high-risk deliveries and assisting with various obstetric procedures. Experience in circulating for C-sections is necessary. The position involves triaging obstetrical patients and performing sterile vaginal exams. Knowledge of magnesium sulfate therapy and insulin drips is required. The nurse should be capable of maintaining central lines and recovering C-section patients. The unit performs between 200-300 facility births per month. Candidates must possess the flexibility to float within their scope to meet the needs of the facility. Weekend coverage is mandatory, requiring availability for every other weekend. The nurse may float to other units as necessary, based on facility discretion. All time-off requests must comply with established guidelines. Responses to requests for required items must be timely and compliant.
