Red Hat OpenShift Engineer

ACTIVE IRS MBI IS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THIS POSITION

TriTech Enterprise Systems (TriTech) is seeking a "Red Hat OpenShift Engineer" to support a federal client.  The engineer must have a strong background in container orchestration, platform management, and cloud-native applications, with hands-on experience in managing and deploying applications on OpenShift clusters.

 

Primary Duties:

• Deploy, manage and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters – 25%
• Configure, manage and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift – 20%
• Automate cluster provisioning, configuration and deployment pipelines using tools like Ansible, Teraform, Helm – 25%
• Integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift with CICD deployment tools iike Jenkins, Maven, GitHub – 15%
• Document and troubleshoot issues with containerized applications – 15%

Required Skills/Level of Experience:

• Managing and administering OpenShift clusters – 5 years
• Proficiency in scripting languages (KSH, Bash, Python) – 4 years
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) – 4 years
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven) – 4 years
• In-depth knowledge of networking in containerized environments, load balancing, network policies, and ingress/egress traffic – 4 years
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex problems – 5 years

Preferred Skills:

• Red Hat OpenShift certification or Kubernetes certification
