Sourcing Specialist - Procurement

Location: Claremore, OK 74107

Job Type: 12 Month W2 Contract

Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00/Hour

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, driving supplier accountability, and resolving material shortages to ensure seamless production operations. Key Responsibilities

• Purchase Order Management: Place, track, and follow up on purchase orders (POs) to ensure on-time delivery.
• Supplier Relationships: Manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth PO execution and compliance.
• Expediting & Shortage Management: Actively monitor parts availability, expedite POs, proactively communicate component shortages, and drive effective solutions.
• Problem & Schedule Resolution: Quickly handle order changes, delivery discrepancies, and supplier performance issues.
• Data Integrity: Keep the ERP system updated with accurate order statuses, delivery dates, and documentation.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for colleagues and internal business stakeholders regarding order status, shortages, and delivery metrics.
• Special Projects: Support supply continuity initiatives, process improvement efforts, and specialized PO management projects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED paired with equivalent professional experience in Sourcing/Procurement) .
• Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in Sourcing or Procurement.

Desired Characteristics

• Systems Proficiency: Experience with SAP (specifically purchasing / MM modules) strongly preferred; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
• Industry Background: Hands-on experience with direct materials in a manufacturing environment, including expediting and shortage management. Outside processing experience is a plus.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; highly comfortable collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Work Style: A self-starter with the ability to work independently, demonstrate strong leadership, and tackle complex challenges with robust problem-solving skills.
