Your Impact & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, start up, commission, and validate multi-vendor VFD performance.
• Help management run an efficient service operation—supporting staffing productivity, retention, cost control, and objectives.
• Develop relationships that lead to repeat and referral business.
• Deliver high-quality repairs with minimal callbacks.
• Keep customers and leadership updated on status, findings, and risks.
• Recommend additional services following established protocols.
• Model safety-first behavior and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with VFDs from multiple brands.
• Valid driver’s license; able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights/on ladders.
• Strong grasp of three-phase motors and control circuits.
• Proficient reading/interpreting electrical & mechanical drawings, safety rules, operation manuals, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Heating and cooling system installation/troubleshooting experience.
• OSHA 30; SST.
• Skilled at preparing inspection and appraisal reports.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities; clear written and verbal communication.
• Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting strengths.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to program, calibrate, and configure 4–20 mA and 0–10 VDC devices.
• Exceptional independence—able to deliver without direct supervision.
• Plus: experience with gas detection systems and DriSteem humidifiers.

Compensation

Estimated salary: $45–$64 per hour, flexible based on experience and skills.

Territory

Field service across the NY/NJ area.
