Senior System Engineer

Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Senior Systems Engineer to add to their growing team. This role will focus on reverse engineering legacy systems for an internal project. The engineer will extract and document system requirements from existing artifacts and source code, build end-to-end test plans, and ensure all requirements are properly captured and maintained in DOORS as the single source of truth. Responsibilities Reverse engineer legacy source code and artifacts to extract and formalize missing system requirements Develop and maintain comprehensive requirements documentation in IBM DOORS / DOORS NextGen Create end-to-end test plans and support verification & validation activities Perform data validation and ensure requirements traceability Organize and improve requirements practices, applying systems thinking to help the team adopt better processes Support the project with potential assignments to other related or adjacent projects as needed Requirements 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience Strong background in requirements engineering and reverse engineering from legacy code/artifacts Hands-on experience with IBM DOORS or DOORS NextGen Demonstrated ability to create structured requirement sets from informal or incomplete inputs Experience with Verification & Validation and test planning Excellent systems thinking and ability to drive clarity in ambiguous environments CSEP certification Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools such as ArchiMate, Cameo, or Rhapsody AI experience for reverse engineering or requirements extraction Prior energy/utilities or mission-critical systems experience Benefits Robust Health Insurance 401(k) plan PTO Paid holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Theoris
