X-Ray Technologist

Location: Portland, OR

• Monday – Thursday

• 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM

• 40 Hours Per Week

The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging equipment, and providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

• Active ARRT Certification required.

• Active Oregon Radiologic License required (or eligibility to obtain).

• Current BLS Certification.

• Minimum 1 year of recent X-Ray experience preferred.

• Acute care hospital experience preferred.

• Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols.

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders.

• Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

• Operate and maintain radiology equipment safely and effectively.

• Follow radiation protection and safety guidelines.

• Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation.

• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures.

• Ensure image quality and proper transmission of studies.

• Maintain equipment and report operational issues as needed.

• Participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives.

• Fulfill on-call responsibilities as assigned.
