Full Time District Substitute Teacher (K-4)

Full Time District Substitute Teacher Orchard Farm School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our educational team as a FullTime District Substitute Teacher. This full‑time position is a vital part of the school community, ensuring students receive quality instruction to achieve the learning objective during a teacher's absences. Minimum Requirements Missouri Substitute Teacher Certificate Missouri Teacher Certification (preferred) Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations and law Knowledge of subject matter content and assessment strategies Knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form Ability to follow written and oral communication Ability to problem solve Responsibilities Deliver group and/or individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines as assigned by classroom teacher or building administrator in grades K-4 as needed. Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment. Model conversation, manners, cleanup activities, listening skills, etc. for the purpose of demonstrating appropriate social and interpersonal behavior. Monitor students in a variety of educational environments for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. Report incidents (e.g., fights, suspected child abuse, suspected substance abuse, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining the personal safety of students, providing a positive learning environment and adhering to Education Code and school policies. Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution. Work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods. Perform other related duties, as assigned.
