• Unit setting: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry, 19-bed MS/Tele unit for adults and geriatrics
• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted; first-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics on a 19-bed MS/Tele unit, including assessment, planning, and coordination of care.
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and initiate appropriate interventions; activate rapid response as needed.
• Administer medications, manage IV lines, perform phlebotomy, and ensure safe isolation precautions and oxygen delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary, Rapid Response Team) to support patient outcomes.
• Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and participate in handoffs, with attention to accurate charting and patient safety.

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse license (in hand to submit)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
• Mandatory competencies: phlebotomy and IV insertion
• Core clinical skills: telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response activation, peripheral line care, oxygen delivery, and non-invasive airway management
• Epic charting experience (required or preferred)
