We are seeking an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead to join an Outside Sales team. This is a field-based sales position focused on acquiring new business from local and regional restaurants in emerging markets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B/SMB sales, new business development, prospecting, and closing deals, preferably within the restaurant, food & beverage, hospitality, or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new restaurant and SMB customers within an assigned territory.
• Meet restaurant owners and decision-makers primarily through face-to-face sales interactions.
• Present the value of partnering with the company and address customer questions and objections.
• Negotiate agreements and close new business.
• Manage a fast-paced, transactional sales cycle and work toward closing deals within days.
• Develop and execute strategies to expand business within emerging and underserved markets.
• Maintain accurate sales activity and customer information.
• Collaborate with regional sales leadership and utilize available sales tools and resources.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel and longer driving days.

Qualifications

• 2.5+ years of sales experience, preferably in a closing or business development role.
• Experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Experience with outside/field sales is highly preferred.
• Restaurant, food & beverage, hospitality, or related sales experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently and managing a geographic territory.
• Ability and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be located within approximately 40 minutes of Dubuque, IA.

Compensation

• $29/hour on W2
• Additional uncapped commission
• Target commission: approximately $1,900/month, with the opportunity to earn more based on performance.
• Travel expenses covered by the company.
