Position Title: Catering Bartender

Position Summary: The Catering Bartenders are responsible for proper table/bar set-up, table service for guests, and knowledge of menu/drinks to be served. This person will apply all safe food/alcohol handling principles as they pertain to this position. This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. This person will focus on our Core Values: Cleanliness and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety. All of our associates should improve our systems and overall operation.

Duties and Responsibilities: Set-up of dining room/bars for service. Taking customers orders and filling the order in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain a clean and neat work and service area. Performs clean up and breaking down of bars at end of event. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Bartending skills and practices. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision. Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous catering, serving or bartending experience. Ramp certification preferred.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: Ability to use various chemicals. Ability to sit/stand for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs independently.
