Continuous Improvement Engineer

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will coordinate processes and lead execution of continuous improvement strategies at PPG’s Gainesville, TX Plant. You will report to the Plant Manager. Responsibilities Assess and deploy CI development plans and set goals responsibilities. Define, maintain, and align KPI targets with site business strategy. Work with leaders, engineers, and operators to coach and mentor CI methodologies; ensure instruction and use of key best practices such as LSS, kaizen, DMAIC, GB/YB, 5S, and value stream mapping. Conduct LSS assessments, define action plans to close gaps, and track execution across departments. Work with operators to ensure they are appropriately trained. Aid operators to drive improvement in manufacturing efficiencies using best‑practice CI tools and techniques. Align with Quality Assurance to deliver robust and cost‑effective end‑to‑end processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another suitable technical field; Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years proven experience with LSS/Continuous Improvement in a chemical, food, or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
