Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse position in a hospital setting within a medical-surgical unit. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care for neurological, cardiac, and general medical-surgical patients. The position requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment, excellent teamwork, and a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Job Details:

• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) are required.
• Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Location Requirements: Valid driver's license required at submission; candidates outside a 50-mile radius may be considered.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float to other medical-surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients may be required.
• Unit Notes: Orientation includes 2 days of unit-specific training; nurses must pass a pass/fail exam with a score of 90% or higher.
• Duties include managing neurological and cardiac patients, titrating and managing drips like Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine, interpreting telemetry strips with some tele awareness, and practicing hourly rounding and responsiveness.
• Staffing: Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6; nurse aides/patient care techs present with a ratio of 1:10-20.
• Shift details: 0630-1900 or 1830-0700; rotation includes every other weekend, holidays, and floating between units.
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs.
• Additional notes: Focus on teamwork, attendance, compassion, and cultural competence with diverse patient populations.
