Software Engineer

This position requires onsite work at Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is hiring a Software Engineer. This role focuses on the design, development, and integration of software supporting factory test systems for weapon system products. The engineer works hands on with modern tools and technologies across multiple phases of the engineering lifecycle, contributing to both engineering and production environments. Day in the Life Supports full lifecycle software development including applications, libraries, and instrument drivers while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable test solutions Key deliverables for this role Design, develop, and integrate object oriented software applications in C# and C++ Support software development tasks across multiple priorities and timelines Troubleshoot software issues and test instrumentation Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams on system level solutions Develop and define requirements for software products Independently driving software development tasks to completion, quickly resolving technical issues, and delivering robust test system capabilities that enable efficient production and sustainment operations Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience Proficiency in object-oriented programming using both C# and C++ Proven experience designing modular software applications, libraries, and instrument drivers Experience interfacing software with physical test instrumentation and lab equipment Demonstrated ability to write, analyze, and derive software requirements Familiarity with modern IDEs, source control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines Ability to drive software tasks to completion with minimal supervision Strong troubleshooting skills for complex software and hardware interfaces Competence in managing multiple competing priorities and tight timelines Excellent communication skills for working within multidisciplinary engineering teams Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.
