Colorectal Surgeon on the Gulf Coast

Unique Hybrid Colorectal Surgery Opportunity on the Gulf Coast This position is located in Mobile, AL at Infirmary Cancer Care, an affiliate of the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB. The program currently comprises 5 Medical Oncologists, 3 Radiation Oncologists, 3 Breast Surgeons, 3 Surgical Oncologists, 2 Colorectal Surgeons, and 2 Thoracic Surgeons who provide care at 2 multi-disciplinary cancer centers and 3 satellite offices. This is a non-tenure earning, full clinical position within the Department of Surgery at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine with employment through the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation. The appointed candidates will also be members of the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB. Membership in the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB further enriches the role, facilitating access to leading-edge research, clinical trials, and 18 multi-disciplinary tumor boards, disease-specific working groups, as well as opportunities for clinical/ translational research. Candidates will be offered competitive compensation based on MGMA benchmarks. Location: Mobile is a historic, mid-sized city located 30 minutes from the white sand beaches of the Alabama Gulf Coast, one hour from Pensacola, Florida and two and a half hours from New Orleans, Louisiana.
